Lead Manufacturing Quality Technician

Supervise the Inspection Group assuring procedures & practices are in conformance. Assist the Quality Engineering Group's completion of MSA studies & metrology. Oversee, complete & manage the internal calibration program. Assure outgoing quality of all products through training and leading of Manufacturing Quality Technician (MQT).

Specific Functions

-Provide training to MQT's
-Perform incoming inspection, as required
-Perform start up/re-start inspections, as required
-Provide back-up for MQT's and shipping/document control
-Perform dock audits, box audits and document review, as required
-Maintain Quality Assurance & Regulatory (QAR) and manage the distribution & training of new documentation
-Assign work to MQT's and schedule overtime
-Assist MQE's with Dimensional Layouts, Gage Qualification Studies, and Capability Studies
-Develop and troubleshoot Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) & Vishay Micro-Measurements (VMM) inspection programs for new and existing programs.
-Other duties as assigned by the Quality Assurance Manager
-Maintain & monitor the SPC program assuring appropriate actions are taken

Qualifications

-HS Diploma or equivalent with general math skills
-Read, write, and speak English
-GD&T and CMM Programming Experience
-Supervisory/Management Experience Required
-Flexibility to work overtime and weekends
-Good safety record
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
-Computer literate with a knowledge specialty in Excel, Word, Minitab
-Metrology experienced in an inspection environment
-Background in calibration systems
-Internal auditing certification helpful
